Summer Blog Challenge Day 33

Travel & plans you have for the summer.

Sadly, no. :( I would love to go to Disney World [Florida]. Or a cruise would be awesome but with a 3.5 year old and a 6 month old, I don't see anything happening...other than "staycations."

Rice Krispies Treats

OMFG they're sooooo good!

An Americana treat...Rice Krispies Treats! Who doesn't love them?! I decided to make them simply because I WAS CRAVING THEM and I thought what a great thing to do with Max! Thank you Mildred Day for inventing this delicious yummerz!

What You'll Need:
bowl
big spoon
pan
pam non stick cooking spray
6 cups of Rice Krispies
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
10oz [a bag] of regular sized marshmallows

First melt butter in a pan. Add the marshmallows until totally metled. Keep on stirring it too! Add the 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal in a bowl add the melted marshmallows and STIR THE LIVING TAR out of it. It gets mad sticky sweet real quick! Spray a rectangular pan and place the quickly hardened treat in the pan. Let it cool for 10 minutes and cut it up. You can also add other ingrediants...chocolate chips, m&ms...whatever you want really. Enjoy your home made Rice Krispies Treats!

Summer Blog Challenge Day 32

Share a poem you've written or just one you like.

I love this poem simply because its beautiful. :D

I carry your heart with me by E. E. Cummings

I carry your heart with me [I carry it in
my heart]
I am never without it [anywhere
I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling]
I fear no fate [for you are my fate, my sweet]
I want no world [for beautiful you are my world,my true]
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows [here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide]
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart [I carry it in my heart]

Summer Blog Challenge Day 31

Talk about something eco friendly that you already do.

Ok this is very similar for Day 24. I am also using cloth wipes to use as wipes to change my children's diapers or just to wipe them. In another post I wrote what cloth wipe solution I put together for the cloth wipes. I enjoy doing this because I know I am saving wipes by reusing them by washing and not throwing away.

DIY CDL & Cloth Wipe Solution

So what do I do with diaper laundry?

I simply was the inserts, wipes, and micro fleece liners in our HE front loader on extra sanitary wash first. While that's going I put the shells in the tub and soak in cold water. Once done with the first wash, I wash the shells in hot wash. Then I hang dry everything. [When nice out.] When it's raining I put them in the dryer with 6 Wooly Rounds. Once everything is dry I stuff the shells with the inserts and put the micro fleece liners on the cloth diaper.

[cloth wipe solution mix]

As for the wipes. I mix a tablespoon organic pure extra virgin coconut oil in a bowl of hot water. Let the wipes soak in the solution, rink them out fold and place in the contain. One container is for home use and the other is for going out. So that's what I do for CDL and my cloth wipes solution. Pretty easy and not freaky at all. Have a great month of July!
