Married With Children But How About Sex

Lets be honest having children makes a couple's sex life...well...lesser...to nonexistent  I know having children is a blessing but has its challenges. Especially when a couple co sleeps and breastfeeds. A few dad's I've asked said: "That breast doesn't belong to me anymore! lol" "My kid's feet on my face is the only action I'm seeing now a days. :/" As for the mothers, "I want to but I'm just so tired. :/" "It's too many things during the day and at night I just want to cuddle, but it's usually with my baby. lol"

Personally having Max [4 years old], Dean [a year old], and being 9 months pregnant [semi bed rest] is stressful...but I make sure I and my husband are "happy" and stresses of daily motherhood be "relieved." lol I'm not ashamed and it's totally healthy to have a wonderful and successful sex life with 2 children while pregnant, co sleeping, and breastfeeding.

There are a few Golden Rules my husband and I follow:

Make time for each other. With two active children that seem like they are on sugar high all the waking hours...its truly hard. But! A simple act of getting things done together like folding laundry, talking about our crazy days, grocery shopping [we never go alone, always together!], look at funny crap or interesting articles we find about parenting or other interests and discuss.

Get active together. Since I'm on semi bed rest it's hard to do things together. As I said up top we try to do the simplest mundane things together to make us feel not alone or have the feeling of neglect. But once I give birth and given the green light by my OB...I'll definitely have our outings in the spring and summer. I can't wait!

Try something new. I'll just let you use your imagination with this one. Be adventurous...perhaps even a "safe word"? lol

Baby steps. Take every bit and chance to sneak a small cuddle, hug, mini teenage make out session, squeeze a butt...anything to get things started or at least headed to the right direction.
