My Baby Bump Journal: Week 30

[30 weeks]

This week has been a total pain...literal pain. Went to my 2 week appointment  I know 2 weeks already amazing! Heartbeat was strong and measuring on time and a little over lol...nothing new about that. I'm glad everything is ok but I have been cramping no longer having contractions due to breastfeeding thank GOD! But I ended up going to the hospital to have the baby monitored and me checked. I had bright red spotting on the 27th at 7 pm and the 28th at noon. The doctor did an exam I happened to be 1 cm dilated ..I honestly did not see that coming. With both my previous pregnancies I never dilated til the very end and then some. I am also losing my mucus plug but that doesn't mean anything. They couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from exactly but they told me that I was to be on bed rest [not mandatory but still needed.] So I am home writing this post and I will have to end it early.

Mini Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake

Never mess w a pregnant woman and her cravings! I argued w my husband for an hour and a half and could still keep going on what I want and what I was craving. He didn't want to leave the house, and he said if I made dinner we can go out for a walk didn't happen. I teach my children one thing NEVER GIVE UP! lol I'm crazy and I don't know when to stop when I want something REALLY BAD! You see tonight's craving was mini dark chocolate molten lava cake. Not from Chilli's but my own to make. Because I'm crazy like that. I know exactly what I want. He finally just left 8:54pm to the closest store because he couldn't take my bitching. How I made dinner and he promised to take me out and didn't. I'm going stir crazy being in bed all this week! NUTS! NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER PISS A PREGNANT WOMAN OFF! My husband will die if he doesn't get my exact list of items! :D

What You'll Need:
dark chocolate cake mix [added ingredients]
fudge
vanilla ice cream
chocolate shell
regular cupcake tin/muffin tin
bowl
spatula

Follow cake mix and back batter in cupcake tin or muffin tin. I wanted mini ones and cupcake tin was awesome choice. I let it cool off a bit I cut a hole on the bottom and stuffed a lot of fudge in the middle and covered it back up with the hole I cut out from before. I put the cupcakes in the fridge for 30 minutes for fudge to harden. When we were ready to eat, I put one in the microwave for 15 seconds enough for fudge to melt. SOOOO good! I then add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and top it off with chocolate shell to harden on top. As my family and I started to eat the mini molten cake I just saw smiles all over the room and I said in my head, "Mission Accomplished!" Enjoy kiddies!

Christmas Ornament Painting

[Max painting his Christmas Tree ornament for 2o12]

I haven't been feeling all that well, but something small as arts and crafts painting to help my children not go so crazy...is great! We went to the dollar store and got a ornament for Max and Dean to paint and have fun with! It was great 30 minutes. I sat down took pictures and also did hand painting with Mr. Dean. An amusing day indeed for all three of us.

My Baby Bump Journal: Week 29

[29 weeks]

Okay, from last weeks Baby Bump Journal entry...I was in hell. I truly was. I was having to wean my sick 11 month old off the boob or at least lessen it all to 3-5 feedings for 24 hours?! I nurse on demand and that and IS still hard. [Weaning An 11 Month Old] But enough about that. As I went to my last OB appointment last Monday worst fear came true. I MUST STOP BREASTFEEDING! But It's for the health of #3...so it's cool I guess. [not much for Dean] Well the baby is healthy and heartbeats awesome. My cervix on the other hand is thinning so 29 weeks doesn't sound fun to give birth. I've slowed down. I've been barely going out. So...I'm much crankier because I'm "stuck" at home all the time. lol But I deal with my two crazy boys they make my days very special. I try to keep busy...but slowly...by entertaining them with holiday arts and crafts and baking! I actually sit while I cook and bake...I find that odd lol. Brother in law saw me sitting and called me lazy... :/ I yelled at him turning red "WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO GIVE BIRTH RIGHT NOW?! I'M KEEPING THE KID IN LONGER BY BEING 'lazy' GOT IT?!" well that was the end of it. lol Still working on my emotions, especially anger. Hey I'm keeping it real. Third time around being pregnant is a mess. It honestly seems like with every pregnancy it gets WORSE. I have that boost of energy from God knows where then BAM! I'm slower than a 100 year old woman with no legs :/ I try to keep myself upbeat even though I'm huge on complaining. Hey at least holidays are right around the corner. Can't wait to stuff myself stupid, further pushing my unborn child down...while I awesomely get heart burn [FUN!] Who knew having two kids and a third on the way could be soooo much fun?! .__.

Weaning An 11 Month Old

["STOP IT MOMMY!"]

So the journey of FULL ON BREASTFEEDING until my personal goal of being a year is being shattered by [well being a tad too dramatic lol] 7 month pregnancy contractions! That's right! I was so confident that I'd be able to make it without complications and well I can't. Sad to say my nursing Dean on demand until a year is not going to be checked off. But the light at the end of the tunnel...I can still nurse but only 3-5 times in a 24 hour block. Still might seem a lot but Dean is a BOOBIE MAN! Single whine, a single frown...Mommy's boob to the rescue. lol Now I have to selectively give him my milk. [tears lol]

Dean was not only getting weaned [mostly night feedings] but he was also sick. That just made it a whole lot worse. :/ Thank you whoever it is I can thank :/ Well...as I weaned him during the daytime with my frozen milk thank God I had some...he was ok. He was getting used to his bottle. Update: He still hates it. [He threw it at Max's back because he didn't want it.] "Somebody knows what he wants!" lol. We also tried goats milk because my stash of frozen milk was dwindling. I honestly panicked.

I looked through New Jersey Breastfeeding groups on Facebook for some help. I was guided to Human Milk 4 Human Babies and another I can't remember off the top of my head. They were all local Mamas who were donating their breast milk for babies in need. I friend from a group I attended helped me out and I tried her and my milk as a combo. Again Dean wasn't liking it from a bottle but was helping. Some mothers think its not their route to take other mothers milk but I had no choice. I gave him formula...yeah I know formula lol...he screamed his head off. Didn't work...lactaid I heard it was ok to give...NOPE! water he was cool with but wasn't enough vitamins and nutrients he needed. We tried goats milk was ok too but needed more so we tried another mama's milk.

So as I said he was also sick and night weaning was my main goal...God was it all going down the drain! Not only did he refuse everything I tried failed! I felt horrible and so did he. He woke up every hour. I felt in my heart and soul I and Dean wasn't ready. He just wasn't. I barely got any sleep and waking up in the morning was horrid for me. I couldn't move due to such pain and "cramptractions!" I'm glad my husband happened to get that very same week off! But even when Rad took Dean into the other room at night nothing worked. Until now we are coping to wean at least 2 feedings a night.

It is week two and we are doing better...ish? He is sleeping again and is taking night weaning at a slow and agonizing pace...but a pace at least! Hopefully all gets well enough where our lives is back to normal as it can be. I can go out without the fear of stopping and cramping all over the place and fearing the health of my unborn child. I'm glad I can still nurse Dean. So my dream of breastfeeding isn't a total bust! Next adventure...Tandem nursing!

Christmas Tree Is Up

[Max's 4th Christmas tree & Dean's 1st]

Finally put our Christmas tree up and the boys couldn't have been more happier! Max got to participate more than last year actually putting glass ornaments ups with adult help. As for Dean he was eagerly trying to eat every ornament as if it were candy hanging off the tree. It was fun seeing the boys eyes light up. I can't wait to see our third child's eyes next year. Christmas is almost here!!!

Window Gel Stickies From Hell

So after feeling like death and slowly getting back up...we finally got to do the window gel stickies. Whatever you call them. Mind you these things have been on since beginning of summer and its now Christmas lol. As i proceed to take them off i noticed they left the glass not in the easy and solid manner i attached in the beginning. It was slimy and was falling apart. Snot like lol. It also left a greasy mess in the glass but thought nothing of it. I went to get our all purpose cleaner and seriously freaked! I thought to myself "this shit isn't coming off! Wtf?!" Well i got Windex...nothing! I have nothing else and went online for a solution.

Don't you just love Google?! So after a couple of site searches i found....NAIL POLISH REMOVER=solution. So i tried it and it freaking worked! Afterwards i cleaned it again with Windex  Let it air dry a bit and its as if was never there. I'm honestly not sure if using nail polish remover was or is safe on the window...there are different types. But it worked and no problems. Max, Dean, and i put the gel stickies on the window. Top pane was Christmas season and for the bottom pane it was the winter season. You learn something new everyday...just thank God I didn't mess up the window...stupid $1 window gel stickies!

Newtown CT Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting

As my husband came home from picking up Max our 4 year old from school, I nearly died as I saw the news. 27 dead 18 children from Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. They later found out a local New Jersey man Adam Lanza 20 years of age was the shooter. I am so saddened by this news on how such a young man can shoot another human being. A CHILD! It makes me want to keep my children super glued to me! This is a horrific event and I feel for those parents of the 18 children, and the families of the faculty that was too murdered! It's the Holidays...having to hear your child has been killed...my heart would stop! My prayers and thoughts are with the Newtown, CT families!

My Baby Bump Journal: Week 28

[28 weeks]

Third trimester welcomes me with open arms and a hell of a lot of pains. :D I'm currently and still plan to continue breastfeeding Dean who is now 11 months old YEAHY! almost a year old! :D But lately have been feeling cramps from hell, my belly stiffens and I need to stop whatever I'm doing to hunch over and take a deep breathe so control the pains that travel like fireworks throughout my body. INTENSE! I have talked to my OB she said stop. I talked to several lactation consultants and they said to ease on the nursing. I whole heatedly do not want to wean Dean off he doesn't seem to want to be. So, I will ease up. Monday I had my check up and asked about a cervical length checked to see if im thinning...the only way I'll stop breastfeeding is if my cervix showed thinning. Again folks I am only 28 weeks, I DO NOT plan on delivering a preemie.  I like my babies plump and pink! :D So I will do my best for both children Dean on the outside and number three on the inside. So, lets hope for the best!

The other thing that I openly complained about lol last weeks post was that I was incredibly snail slow! I find it harder to do things not only at a fast or normal pace but EVERYTHING! I feel a certain force stronger than my will lol holding me down. Simple folding the laundry gets folded the next day. I hate how things lay around and are not done and put in its proper place. Drives me up the wall nuts! I like order and this pregnancy is showing another ugly side of my anger. I've been controlling it and now feeling forced to slow down kills me :/ But better the child be healthy than stress myself out. I need to be a bit more forgiving to myself physically. My husband is and isn't forcing anything. I have to drop Max off to school, take care of a running 11 month old, feed them, try not to forget to feed myself for the third child, do daily routines, my goodness I feel like a total mess lol. I guess I'm not super mom after all. :/ poo...

My Baby Bump Journal: week 27

I've noticed more and more that I'm much slower and my breathing needs to be deeper...as if I am gasping for air and/or just coming out of the water. I have that waddle and at times my lower back hurts. It all seems to be normal and up to date with what I'm supposed to be feeling around this week. I just wished I can move as I used to. I don't like being slow. I want things done...quick and so I can play and spend time with the boys. Other than that all is well...just feeling like a snail minus the slim...ew!

My marshmallow craving strikes again! But I wanted coffee drink of some type. I couldn't find it :/ So I looked this non alcoholic marshmallow beverage and it was a sure hit!

Blend together 1 tablespoon whole milk, 1 large scoop plain yogurt, and 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Next add three of your toasted marshmallows to the blender until they are broken up and distributed evenly.
